The McBeath Conservation Area is a 55 hectare (135 acre) commonly used for fishing, birdwatching, hiking and camping. But perhaps most notably the park sits on the Saugeen canoe route and is used extensively by canoeists who value the sandy beach as an ideal spot to stop and eat lunch. Georgian Trail This lovely 35 km (22 mi) long trail can be accessed in Collingwood and spreads all the way to Meaford. Suitable for walkers, joggers, cross-country skiers or bikers, the path is well marked to indicate road names and amenities. Benches are available for rests along the route.
