Welcome to Kincardine!
Located on the mouth of the Pentangore River overlooking Lake Huron is the vibrant municipality of Kincardine. Created in 1999 with the amalgamation of both the town and township of Kincardine and the township of Bruce, the municipality is a place of hustle and bustle and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy downtown Kincardine's various shops and restaurants, then hit the beach. Station Beach is the community's main beach and serves as a great spot to stretch out, go for a swim, play beach volleyball or watch a spectacular deep orange sunset unfold. Situated downtown on the waterfront is the classic red and white Kincardine Lighthouse, which is a photo favourite and open for tours. Not far from the lighthouse is the community's oldest building, Walker House. Built in 1850 as an inn and tavern, Walker House now functions as a museum with a collection of local history exhibits. An art gallery, outdoor market and a lush green peace garden are just a few of the other attractions to explore in Kincardine. Summer in Kincardine is a busy time with a calendar full of fun events like the tartan-clad Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games and the lively Kincardine Summer Music Festival.Tourist Attractions
